Make a meaningful difference this school year by supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a dynamic, K-12 setting. This contract opportunity welcomes a dedicated educator to work onsite, closely partnering with students on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). With a part-time schedule of 11.5 hours per day, Tuesday through Friday, youll have the unique chance to foster student growth while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Key Qualifications:
- Active certification as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Educator
- Experience working with students with hearing impairments across K-12 grade levels
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and ability to tailor instruction to support individual learning goals
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with education teams and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Role Highlights:
- Deliver individualized instruction and academic support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, in alignment with their IEPs
- Monitor and document student progress to ensure educational goals are being met
- Collaborate with general and special education staff to coordinate services and strategies for student success
- Communicate regularly with families and team members to provide updates and insights regarding student achievement
- Participate in Zoom interviews as part of the hiring process
