Desired Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH)
• Experience developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Knowledge of assistive technology, auditory/oral and/or sign language communication strategies
• Strong collaboration skills to work with general education teachers, families, and related service providers
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and best-practice instruction in DHH education

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students language, communication, and academic goals
• Assess and monitor student progress, adapting strategies as needed
• Consult with classroom teachers to support inclusion, accessibility, and classroom modifications
• Facilitate and support communication using sign language, amplification devices, or other supports as appropriate
• Maintain detailed documentation for student progress and IEP goals
