Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or a closely related field
• Valid state certification for teaching Deaf / Hard of Hearing students
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication methods used in Deaf education
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs for students with hearing impairments
• Strong knowledge of assistive technology and resources that support student access
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families

Responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt lesson plans that align with students individual needs and IEP goals
• Provide direct instruction and classroom support for students with hearing loss
• Facilitate language development and communication skill-building in a variety of formats
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed to maximize outcomes
• Serve as a resource and advocate for students, staff, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture
