This opportunity is for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to support a dynamic K-6 school environment in the Dallas area. The role involves providing specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments, helping to foster their academic and social growth within an inclusive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students from Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade with hearing impairments.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and write detailed reports.
- Attend Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to advocate for student needs and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.
- Interpret audiograms and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to adjust learning strategies.
- Manage and support a caseload of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, ensuring compliance with all relevant educational standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teaching License issued by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) is required.
- Experience working in Texas school settings with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is preferred.
- Strong understanding of deaf education strategies, audiological concepts, and IEP processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and specialists.

- Location: Dallas, TX (On-site)
- Contract duration: January 5, 2026 to May 21, 2026
- Schedule: Full-time or part-time options available, 21-35 hours per week; minimum three days per week, typically seven-hour days.
- Student age group: Pre-K through 6th Grade
