Job Description

Step into a vital educational environment serving students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a dynamic, supportive setting. We are seeking two dedicated professionals for full-time, onsite teaching roles: one to work with elementary or middle school students, and another with high school students, both focusing on math and core English subjects. These contract positions for the 2026-2027 academic year promise rewarding classroom experiences and the opportunity to make a genuine impact.

District reviews will begin mid-to-late May, with positions starting August 12, 2026 and continuing through May 26, 2027. The weekly schedule is 35 hours, with assigned campuses and caseloads to be determined.

Key Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education required; masters degree highly preferred
  • Valid educator certification (please submit photos of current certificates/licenses)
  • Demonstrated fluency in ASL (assessment will occur during the interview)
  • Strong references prepared for submission
  • Versatility to teach core math and English subjects
  • Previous experience in school settings is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction in math and core English to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Develop and implement IEPs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administrators
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and communicative classroom environment
