This full-time, on-site position based in Concord, NC, invites educators skilled in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) to support a K-12 school environment. The role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and fostering an inclusive classroom for approximately 1012 students during the contract school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Special Education services in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using evidence-based teaching practices
• Develop, plan, and execute lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs and aligned with the NC Standard Course of Study
• Conduct screenings and evaluations when necessary to assess student progress and needs
• Actively participate in the IEP process, including developing present levels of performance, goals, and service delivery plans
• Monitor student progress regularly and implement strategies to manage classroom behavior effectively
• Maintain thorough documentation including notes, summaries, and IEP records to ensure compliance with Special Education regulations
• Communicate and collaborate with school staff, students, and families to support student success and promote a positive learning environment

Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) DHH Professional Educators License (active license screenshot required upon submission)
• Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a K-12 educational setting
• Knowledge of Special Education laws and the ability to implement IEPs effectively
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to working on-site in a full-time capacity (40 hours per week, school-based schedule)

Location: Concord, North Carolina
Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site, School Year Contract
Caseload: Approximately 10-12 students
