Job Description

Your expertise will help create empowering educational experiences tailored to meet each students unique needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Valid Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license issued in Colorado
  • Active certification or eligibility with the Colorado Department of Education (CDE)
  • Previous experience supporting students with hearing loss is highly desirable
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Work closely with general and special education teachers to implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
  • Provide language, auditory, and academic support based on student needs
  • Serve as a resource for staff and families, offering strategies and tools to promote accessibility and inclusion
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development related to hearing impairments
  • Engage in progress monitoring and maintain accurate records
