Job Description

This full-time role runs from early August through late May and offers the opportunity to work onsite near Chandler, AZ, with possible consideration for highly qualified virtual candidates.

Your expertise will support students academic, social, and language development while collaborating with a passionate educational team.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Standard Professional Certificate with completed Deaf/Hard of Hearing (K-12) Endorsement
  • IVP Fingerprint Card required
  • Relevant experience serving deaf and hard of hearing students (K-12) strongly preferred
  • Proficient in instructional strategies and accommodations tailored to deaf/hard of hearing learners
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, fostering communication and language skills in an accessible environment
  • Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech/language pathologists, and other specialists to support inclusion and student growth
  • Facilitate student progress monitoring and provide regular updates to families and staff
  • Create a positive classroom atmosphere that respects diverse learning styles and language modalities
