This full-time position is for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) serving a K-12 caseload in a school setting located in Brockton, MA. The role offers an onsite contract opportunity, providing direct support and specialized instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized instruction and support to students from kindergarten through 12th grade with hearing impairments.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address the unique communication and learning needs of each student.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure consistent and inclusive educational experiences.
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to maximize learning outcomes.
- Facilitate the use of assistive technologies and hearing devices in the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license.
- Demonstrated professional experience working as a TDHH educator within a school environment.
- Strong understanding of communication modalities and educational techniques for students with hearing loss.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and educational teams.
