Job Description

A dedicated educator with expertise in teaching Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students is needed for a K-12 public school in the Boulder City, NV area. This position involves a full-time commitment of 35 hours per week throughout the school year on a contract basis, ideal for professionals passionate about supporting students with hearing differences.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing
  • Experience teaching students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Strong skills in communication strategies, including American Sign Language (ASL) and auditory/oral methods
  • Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement appropriate accommodations
  • Collaboration skills to work effectively with families, classroom teachers, and related service providers

Primary responsibilities:
