Qualifications:

• Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working within a school setting, preferably with K-12 students
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods commonly used with DHH students
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to develop and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with hearing impairments using evidence-based strategies
• Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet individual student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and progress monitoring
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student confidence
