This full-time, onsite contract position offers a dynamic and collaborative school environment.
What Were Looking For:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (required)
- Previous experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of current educational strategies for students with hearing impairments
- Excellent communication skills, both in spoken/written language and (if applicable) sign language
- Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and adaptability as caseload details are subject to finalization
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in accordance with IEPs
- Partner with general education staff, families, and other specialists to optimize student outcomes
- Develop and modify lesson plans and educational materials to ensure accessibility and engagement
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Advocate for student needs and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
