This opportunity involves working onsite as an itinerant educator, providing specialized support to students across a middle school and two elementary schools near Aurora, IL. Qualifications & Requirements:

• Possession of an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement
• Previous experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is highly valued
• Itinerant teaching background strongly preferred
• Strong communication and advocacy skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and services to deaf and hard-of-hearing students in multiple school settings
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide direct and consultative services to ensure access to the curriculum and promote academic and social-emotional growth
• Maintain documentation and progress monitoring according to state and district guidelines
• Promote self-advocacy and independence among students
