Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- State certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing or Special Education (or eligibility)
- Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Proficiency with assistive listening devices, FM systems, and deaf education technologies
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, including ASL fluency (preferred)
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of current best practices in deaf education
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group instruction to students with hearing impairments
- Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs
- Assess student progress and participate in IEP meetings and ongoing evaluations
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusion and accessibility
- Consult with families, audiologists, and specialists to support student success
- Provide advocacy, guidance, and resources to students and their families
