Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• State certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing or Special Education (or eligibility)
• Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Proficiency with assistive listening devices, FM systems, and deaf education technologies
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, including ASL fluency (preferred)
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of current best practices in deaf education

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group instruction to students with hearing impairments
• Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Assess student progress and participate in IEP meetings and ongoing evaluations
• Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusion and accessibility
• Consult with families, audiologists, and specialists to support student success
• Provide advocacy, guidance, and resources to students and their families
