In this contract opportunity near Atlanta, youll collaborate with a dynamic team of educators, helping to design and deliver instructional strategies that foster communication, inclusion, and academic growth for students with hearing challenges.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
• Experience working with students in K-12 settings who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication modalities
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to adapt curriculum
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to build rapport and advocate for students unique educational needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to each students communication style and educational goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to ensure accessible and inclusive learning environments
• Support the development of adaptive materials, technology, and classroom accommodations
• Monitor student progress, document achievements, and proactively address learning gaps
• Serve as a resource and advocate, educating staff and peers about Deaf culture and best practices
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
