Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and current certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (or eligibility for certification)
- Experience working with K-12 students in classroom and individualized settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Knowledgeable in the latest educational strategies for Deaf/Hard of Hearing learners
- Confidence in developing and implementing IEPs
Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to the needs of Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to develop strategies for inclusive participation
- Conduct assessments and track student progress, continually adjusting approaches as needed
- Serve as an advocate and resource for students, families, and colleagues
- Participate in IEP meetings and student support teams, providing specialized expertise
