Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid state certification in Deaf / Hard of Hearing Education (or eligibility)
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Deaf Education or related area
• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in a school setting
• Strong knowledge of auditory assistive technology and strategies
• Proficiency with sign language (ASL) is a plus
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction to students with hearing impairments following IEP guidelines
• Adapt curriculum and develop resources that support varied learning needs
• Assist in assessments, progress monitoring, and the development of IEPs
• Provide consultation to general education teachers and support staff
• Communicate with families and participate in educational planning meetings
• Encourage student self-advocacy and foster an inclusive environment
