In this vital role, you'll provide specialized instruction and support for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, collaborating closely with educators and families to help each child reach their academic and personal goals.

Qualifications & Skills:
- State teaching certification with an endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (or eligibility to obtain)
- Proven experience teaching or supporting students with hearing loss in school settings
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with various amplification devices (hearing aids, cochlear implants) and assistive technologies
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to diverse student needs
- Enthusiasm for building relationships with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction individually or in small groups, tailored to IEP goals
- Consult with classroom teachers to modify curriculum or accommodations
- Support use of communication modes (ASL, oral, visual, cued speech, etc.) appropriate to student needs
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights
- Train school personnel about deaf/hard of hearing needs and best practices
- Foster positive developments in academic performance and social-emotional growth
