Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Experience with a variety of communication modes, including American Sign Language (ASL), oral/auditory strategies, and assistive technologies
• Strong commitment to inclusive education and student advocacy
• Familiarity with IEP processes and compliance
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Previous experience in school settings preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
• Support language development, literacy, and core academic skills
• Facilitate communication and access across all classroom activities
• Manage and monitor student progress, conduct assessments, and update IEPs as needed
• Serve as a resource for fellow educators regarding Deaf/Hard of Hearing accommodations
• Partner with families to provide guidance on strategies and resources
• Stay current with best practices in Deaf education
