Qualifications:

• Valid certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
• Experience teaching students with hearing impairments in K-12 settings
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods
• Ability to adapt lesson plans based on student needs
• Strong teamwork, organization, and flexibility
• Enthusiasm for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, adapting materials and strategies to individual needs
• Conduct assessments and develop IEP goals in alignment with student abilities and requirements
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure full integration in school activities
• Support students social, emotional, and academic development
• Educate and provide resources to families about student progress and tools for success
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
• Utilize and troubleshoot assistive technology as needed
