Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
  • Experience working with children or youth with hearing loss in educational settings
  • Knowledge of sign language (ASL, SEE, or other relevant methods)
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver tailored instructional lessons for students with varying degrees of hearing loss
  • Adapt general education curriculum to meet individual needs
  • Facilitate communication access and inclusion in classroom and school activities
  • Collaborate with educators, speech/language pathologists, and families
  • Provide consultative support to staff regarding best practices and accommodations
