Preferred Background/Skills:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (state requirements apply)
  • Experience working with children or adolescents in a classroom or educational setting
  • Strong understanding of individual education plans (IEPs) and ability to tailor instruction
  • Comfort with assistive technology, auditory/oral approaches, and/or sign language
  • Effective communication and advocacy skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
