Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing across various grade levels
- Strong understanding of assistive technology, auditory/oral skills, sign language modalities, and IEP processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and other professionals
- Demonstrated adaptability for individualized and small group instruction
What You'll Do:
- Provide direct and consultative educational support to DHH students in various educational settings
- Adapt instruction and materials to accommodate learning differences
- Collaborate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Guide general education staff in strategies, accommodations, and modifications for DHH learners
- Maintain ongoing communication with families to foster student progress and advocate for accessibility needs
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust strategies as needed
