Job Description

Located in Arlington, TX, this contracted opportunity is seeking a skilled Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to support a K-12 school environment from January 5, 2026, through May 21, 2026. This role is ideal for educators specializing in serving students with hearing impairments, particularly within the PreK to 6th-grade range.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of students from PreK through 6th grade
  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations and interpreting audiograms
  • Attending ARDs (Admission, Review, and Dismissal meetings) to collaborate on individualized education plans
  • Delivering specialized instruction and support tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Valid Deaf/Hard of Hearing (D/HH) Teaching License issued by the Texas Education Agency (TEA)
  • Previous experience in Texas school settings preferred
  • Strong ability to read and interpret audiograms
  • Effective communication skills to engage with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams

This is an on-site position with flexible scheduling options, ranging from 21 to 35 hours per week (three to five days), allowing for full-time or part-time participation. The role is focused on a single campus within the district, providing dedicated support to students requiring specialized hearing services.
