Desired Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education or eligibility for endorsement
• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in educational settings
• Strong skills in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication modalities
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills
• Adaptability, patience, and a student-centered mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and support tailored to individual student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure an inclusive classroom environment
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Advocate for students communication and accommodation needs within the school setting
• Engage with families to foster a supportive and collaborative approach to student learning
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in deaf education and participate in ongoing professional development
