What you bring:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Experience or strong interest in working with elementary students (K-5)

  • Skills in adapting instruction and curriculum for diverse needs within self-contained settings

Your responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to students in K-2 (6:1:2) and 3-5 (8:1:2) self-contained classrooms
  • Foster a supportive, accessible classroom environment using individualized teaching techniques
  • Assess and monitor student progress, making data-driven adjustments to instruction as needed
  • Partner with additional educators and support staff to implement IEP goals
  • Maintain open communication with parents and guardians about student achievements and needs
  • Support social-emotional growth and student engagement
  • Encourage independent skills and self-advocacy

This position offers an hourly rate of $50, reflecting the specialized skill set and passion you bring to the classroom.
