Job Description

Ignite student potential and foster inclusive learning environments as a Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students for a full-time contract position during the 2026/2027 school year. Provide critical support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, making a lasting difference in their educational journey.

You'll work onsite at a single school, offering 35 hours per week throughout the academic year, August through June. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, deliver tailored instruction, and play an essential role in helping each student thrive.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid California Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license
  • Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential
  • Experience with direct instruction for deaf/hard of hearing students
  • Knowledge of curriculum adaptation and managing assistive listening technology
  • Excellent communication skills for partnering with SLPs, audiologists, parents, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with each students IEP goals
  • Adapt and modify curricula to meet unique auditory and language needs
  • Oversee and maintain assistive listening devices to ensure accessibility
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to maximize student support
  • Contribute to IEP development and implementation
  • Foster empowerment, participation, and inclusion within the school community

Compensation for this position ranges from $38.00 to $63.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
