Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid and active Special Education teaching credential
- Experience teaching students at various grade levels, from Pre-K to 12th grade
- Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong skills in differentiated instruction, especially in math
- Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting preferred
- Passion for advocating for students with diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction in accordance with IEP goals
- Adapt curriculum to meet the unique needs of students across multiple grade levels
- Evaluate student progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions
- Create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom atmosphere
- Engage in ongoing assessment and modification of teaching strategies to ensure student success
