Job Description

Four Special Education Teacher positions are available for full-time assignments in Ypsilanti, MI, working within a school setting that serves diverse students with unique learning needs. These are travel roles offering the opportunity to work in various classrooms and grade levels.

Location: Ypsilanti, Michigan
Start Date: ASAP through June 5, 2026
Schedule: Full-time hours

Position Overview:
Teachers will support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special education needs. Assignments include two elementary ASD classrooms specializing in Communication Impairment (CI), one high school ASD classroom, and one resource room. Candidates should hold an active Michigan Special Education license in either Communication Impairment (CI) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan Special Education license for CI or ASD
  • Experience working with students on the autism spectrum preferred
  • Ability to manage classrooms with diverse needs and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective, individualized instruction in accordance with IEPs
  • Monitor student progress and communicate with families and school staff regularly
  • Create inclusive and supportive classroom environments
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
