Job Description

A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available near Worcester, Massachusetts, supporting 2nd and 3rd grade students. This contract position offers a 32.5-hour workweek across five days, providing the chance to deliver individualized instruction and meaningful support to a caseload of 1215 students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license for grades 23
  • Experience working with elementary students in special education settings
  • Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with students, families, and school staff

Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted, individualized instruction aligned with student learning goals
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic and behavioral records
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
  • Modify curriculum and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and ongoing professional development

Compensation for this position ranges from $24.00 to $47.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
