Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education License is required
  • Previous experience working in school settings or with diverse student populations preferred
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying demands of different classroom types (inclusion, resource, substantially separate, etc.)
  • Ability to design, implement, and modify individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and productive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction in accordance with IEP goals and each students strengths and needs
  • Collect data and track progress to inform instructional adjustments
  • Partner with general education teachers, therapists, and administrators to ensure student success
  • Conduct assessments, develop and update IEPs, and participate in meetings with families and colleagues
  • Provide behavior management support and create strategies for positive student engagement
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with school policies and state regulations
