Qualifications:
- Current MA Special Education Teaching license qualifying you to teach grades 2-3
- Proven ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Experience adapting curriculum and instruction for diverse learners
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction in a classroom setting for 2nd and 3rd grade students with varied learning needs
- Manage a caseload of 12-15 students, developing tailored IEPs and regularly assessing progress
- Partner with families, general education teachers, and support staff to coordinate learning interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold compliance with all special education laws and guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of an inclusive school culture
