This position offers a rewarding opportunity to serve as a Special Education Teacher within an elementary school setting focused on supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through a specialized Pathways program. Located in the Marlborough, MA area, this contract role is for the current school year (CSY) and provides full-time hours from 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, including a 30-minute lunch break and a daily 40-minute prep period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for elementary students within the ASD Pathways program.
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to diverse learning needs in compliance with state and federal special education standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, behavior, and communication with families.
- Manage a caseload of students, ensuring each receives appropriate support and services.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education (SPED) teaching license.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably within an ASD program.
- Strong understanding of individualized instructional strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families, and related service providers.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
