Job Description

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

  • Valid special education teaching credential/certification as required by state guidelines
  • Experience working with students in one or more of the following: Kindergarten, Pre-K, elementary, middle, or high school (Grades K-12)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs
  • Strong background teaching math and adapting curricula for diverse learners
  • Excellent communication abilities for collaborating with instructional teams, families, and support staff
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver individualized instruction for students with special needs across multiple grade levels, with emphasis on foundational and advanced math concepts
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor goals for IEPs
  • Provide direct support and accommodations in both pull-out and inclusive classroom settings
  • Create engaging, differentiated learning activities aligned with students unique abilities
  • Maintain thorough documentation on student progress and comply with all state and district regulations
  • Actively partner with families and caregivers to support student success
