This exciting contract opportunity invites passionate educators to work with students across a wide range of grade levelsfrom early childhood and pre-kindergarten all the way through high school. Leverage your skills in adaptive instruction, individualized education planning, and cross-grade teaching to guide learners with varying needs, with a special focus on math.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid special education teaching credential/certification as required by state guidelines
- Experience working with students in one or more of the following: Kindergarten, Pre-K, elementary, middle, or high school (Grades K-12)
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong background teaching math and adapting curricula for diverse learners
- Excellent communication abilities for collaborating with instructional teams, families, and support staff
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction for students with special needs across multiple grade levels, with emphasis on foundational and advanced math concepts
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor goals for IEPs
- Provide direct support and accommodations in both pull-out and inclusive classroom settings
- Create engaging, differentiated learning activities aligned with students unique abilities
- Maintain thorough documentation on student progress and comply with all state and district regulations
- Actively partner with families and caregivers to support student success
