Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Maine Special Education Teacher License required
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
  • Strong commitment to inclusive education and differentiated instruction
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and students
  • Flexibility and adaptability, particularly for the float position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each childs strengths and needs
  • Provide engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction for preschool students with varying abilities
  • Partner with general education staff and families to create a supportive learning environment
  • Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to ensure all students access curriculum and reach their potential
