Job Description

A full-time School Psychologist position is available in Willimantic, CT, focused on supporting high school students within resource and inclusion special education settings. This role requires a dedicated professional with a Connecticut Special Education Teacher certification to serve a caseload of students needing specialized educational and psychological support.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for high school students.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Provide consultation and support to resource and inclusion classrooms to promote positive student outcomes.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Attend team meetings and maintain detailed documentation for all students on caseload.
  • Deliver crisis intervention and behavioral support when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher certification.
  • Experience working with high school students in special education settings, particularly in resource and inclusion programs.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and educational strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and maintain clear records.
