Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher specializing in middle school autistic support. This fulfilling contract opportunity offers you the chance to provide crucial educational assistance while working regular school hours in a collaborative environment.

Work with a small team dedicated to helping middle school students reach their full potential. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through June 10, 2027, offering stability and a predictable routine. The role consists of 35 hours per week, from 7:15am to 2:45pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day. The specific number of students will be communicated prior to your start.

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate covering Special Education for middle school-aged students
• Experience or knowledge working with students on the autism spectrum highly preferred
• Proven ability to foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to evidence-based instructional strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong documentation and progress reporting abilities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for each assigned student
• Collaborate closely with support staff, therapists, and families
• Adapt lessons and classroom environments for varied learning styles and behavioral needs
• Participate in training, planning meetings, and student progress reviews as required
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
