Job Description

Two Special Education Teachers are needed to serve grades 35 and middle school students for the current school year through June 2026. Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education (required)
  • Valid Special Education Teaching License for Pennsylvania
  • Previous experience teaching students with emotional support needs preferred
  • Proven commitment to fostering inclusive, student-centered classrooms
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with staff, parents, and specialists
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to adapt instructional strategies based on individual student needs
  • Willingness to work full-time hours in a school-based contract role

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in emotional support settings
  • Design lessons that address diverse learning styles and encourage growth academically, socially, and emotionally
  • Monitor student progress, document data, and communicate updates with families and IEP teams
  • Create a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes success and well-being
  • Participate in professional development and team meetings
  • Foster open, supportive communication among students, parents, and staff

Assignments are scheduled for 35 hours per week, with start and end times tailored to either elementary or middle school hours.
