Exciting opportunity for Special Education Teachers to support students across elementary, middle, and high school levels in Halifax, NC. This contract role offers the chance to apply your expertise in exceptional children's (EC) resource teaching within a vibrant educational setting.
Position Details:
- Location: Halifax, NC
- Role Type: Contract, Onsite
- Dates: July 27, 2026 July 2, 2027
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Positions Available: 4 EC Teachers
- Caseload Distribution: 2 Elementary EC Resource Teachers 1 Middle School EC Resource Teacher 1 High School EC Resource Teacher
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction tailored to meet the needs of students with exceptionalities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to promote success.
- Maintain detailed records and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina teaching certification in Exceptional Children (EC).
- Experience in resource teaching across elementary, middle, or high school levels.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to work onsite with flexibility and commitment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
