Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state of Alabama
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Masters preferred)
• Experience working with students with a range of disabilities and diverse learning profiles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with the development and implementation of IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and classroom management strategies
• Adaptability and a collaborative spirit

Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that accommodate varying learning needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with families and support staff
• Employ a variety of instructional strategies to ensure student progress and growth
• Maintain thorough documentation of student performance and assessment data
• Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and specialists to support each students learning plan
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding progress, strengths, and areas for development
• Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive classroom culture that values inclusion and student confidence
