Job Description
A Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school located in Wetumpka, AL. This contract role offers an opportunity to work onsite with an inclusion caseload, supporting students within general education settings. The position begins as soon as possible and extends through May 22, 2026, with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs in an inclusive classroom setting.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support students with special needs.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and support staff to ensure the best educational outcomes.
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters student growth and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education (SPED) teaching licensure is required.
- Experience working in inclusion classrooms preferred.
