Job Description
A school district in Westminster, VT is seeking a Special Education Teacher on a contract basis. This role focuses on delivering individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering their academic growth and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to support student success.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and materials to accommodate different learning styles.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary to achieve educational goals.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports in compliance with school policies and federal regulations.
- Provide a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students who have a range of disabilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
