Step into a vital role supporting young learners with special needs in an elementary school setting. This contract opportunity is designed for a passionate Special Education Teacher holding Autism Spectrum Disorder Certification. Youll work onsite, full-time, with a close-knit group of 7 kindergarten and first-grade students, collaborating with two dedicated paraprofessionals and receiving strong support from both building leadership and the Special Education (SPED) team.

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification in Special Education, specifically with Autism Spectrum Disorder endorsement.
• Experience working with elementary-aged children, K-1st grade preferred.
• Proven ability to create adaptive lesson plans and foster inclusive classroom environments.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with paraprofessionals, support staff, and families.
• Commitment to onsite, full-time availability for the duration of the contract.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction tailored to the unique learning needs of each student.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in coordination with the SPED team.
• Collaborate daily with paraprofessionals, offering guidance and support to maximize student engagement.
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and challenges.
• Uphold a safe, nurturing classroom environment conducive to social and academic growth.
