Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification.
  • Previous experience working with high school students in special education.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
  • Skillful in differentiating instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Excellent communication abilities with students, staff, and families.
  • Commitment to collaborative problem-solving and team-based approaches.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality instruction and support aligned with each students individualized educational plan.
  • Manage a caseload of 19 students, ensuring their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals are addressed.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families to coordinate services and accommodations.
  • Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings, evaluations, and progress reviews.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture where all students can thrive.
