Job Description
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in Ypsilanti, MI, with an immediate start and continuing through June 5, 2026. This contract role offers an opportunity to support students in various specialized classroom settings within the school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction and support for students in two elementary ASD-CI classrooms.
- Manage and deliver educational services in one high school ASD classroom.
- Support students in a resource room setting.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with students' needs.
- Collaborate with education professionals, families, and related service providers to promote student success.
- Maintain accurate records and communication related to student progress.
Qualifications:
- Active Michigan Special Education license with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Cognitive Impairment (CI) endorsement.
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Cognitive Impairment preferred.
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills suited to diverse learner needs.
- Ability to develop individualized instructional plans.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
