Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid, active Ohio certification/license: Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate)
  • Comfortable working in various instructional settings, including resource rooms, small group tutoring, and inclusion models
  • Demonstrated experience supporting students with multiple disabilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and interact positively with diverse populations
  • Passion for fostering student growth and academic achievement

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized instructional plans for middle school students with a range of learning needs
  • Adapt curriculum to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Provide targeted support in both resource room and inclusive classroom settings
  • Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress
  • Monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
