Job Description

This on-site contract position offers the opportunity to work with a cross-categorical caseload of 16 students, focusing on individual needs within a single school campus. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Ohio Special Education certification required.
  • Experience teaching students with varying disabilities preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective teamwork and student engagement.
  • Proven success developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Adaptability to address diverse learning styles and classroom needs.
  • Commitment to fostering a respectful, positive, and inclusive environment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction for students across K8 grade levels.
  • Develop, implement, and track progress on IEPs in compliance with state standards.
  • Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure student success.
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet varied student needs.
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with parents, support staff, and administration.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and collaborative planning.
  • Uphold confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards in accordance with school and state requirements.

This role features a consistent MondayFriday schedule from 7:20 AM to 3:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break, and provides a focused environment with a manageable caseload.
