A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in West Sacramento, CA, offering a contract position within a dynamic school environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that meet state guidelines and student goals
• Provide direct instruction and intervention to students with disabilities, adapting teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, counselors, and families to support student progress
• Monitor academic performance and behavior, maintaining accurate records and reporting on student growth
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to ongoing professional development

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential appropriate for the state of California
• Experience working with students with a range of disabilities in a K-12 setting
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and instructional strategies
• Ability to create positive, supportive classroom environments that promote inclusion and engagement
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
