Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid state certification in Special Education
• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters preferred)
• Previous classroom or instructional experience with students receiving special education services
• Proficient in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Adaptability and patience in responding to diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver customized lessons aligned with IEP goals
• Assess, monitor, and document student progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, service providers, and families
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations
• Advocate for students while ensuring educational best practices are in place
• Create classroom environments that encourage participation and growth
• Use adaptive technology and other resources to maximize student learning
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
