Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education License required
• Experience with a variety of age groups (elementary, middle, and high school students) is ideal
• Preferred background in managing student behavior and implementing intervention strategies
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with students, families, and fellow educators
• Passion for creating engaging, accessible, and differentiated instructional experiences for all learners

Responsibilities:

• Serve a diverse caseload supporting students with special needs across various grade levels
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraeducators, and related service providers
• Employ effective behavior management techniques to foster a positive learning atmosphere
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams regarding student progress and recommendations
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
